The Saints Try Turning It Up To Eleven But Are No Match For The Twelves

Tomorrow’s NFC divisional-round playoff game between the Seattle Seahawks and the New Orleans Saints should be interesting at the very least. Will New Orleans Head Coach Sean Payton’s psychological practice methods pay off? If yesterday’s incident is any indication, well… you be the judge!
But let’s backtrack a teensy bit.  Earlier this week, in an attempt to replicate the Seattle atmosphere, coach Payton had the Seahawks logo painted on the New Orleans practice field. Hmmm….

THEN, yesterday, coach Payton pumped “Seattle crowd noise” through the stadium’s sound system in yet another attempt to condition his players to the Seahawks’ environment. Shortly thereafter, New Orleans news station WWLTV reported that “Sean Payton says the team blew out two speakers trying to simulate Seattle’s crowd noise.”
Looks like New Orleans needed a Seattle sound tech

Could such techniques possibly help the psyche of Saints players on the road, or are yesterday’s blowing out of speakers a foreshadowing of what’s to come? If so, would that then mean a Seahawks blowout, much like what happened in Seattle on December 2nd?

The recent loss to the Cardinals really couldn’t have come at a better time, reminding the Seahawks they’re not infallible at home, which, for a while there, seemed to be the case.  So, hopefully, overconfidence won’t be an issue.
As for coach Payton, he forgot to simulate one huge effect Seattle will probably have on his team:  the WEATHER.  Good luck with that one, coach!

If you’re going to the game, it will probably let out just in time for you to get to The Crocodile for the School of Rock Lost Heroes of Grunge show!
